Beating the Odds with Technology!

Help me give my students the gift of learning beyond the realm of stretched resources and embrace the power of technology through powerful soundbites with their headphones, the color of creativity through printed projects, and their basics.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Richardson's classroom raised $960

My Project

All of our students want to learn and maneuver through the world of technology beyond the use of their cell phones. Our classes only have the minimal basic essentials such as copy paper, markers, and coloring pencils due to funding. In this particular class technology is at the forefront as it is a Computer Science Course. This course will provide the opportunity for the students to experience music through coding in the classroom comfortably, at their own computer with the headphones. This opens doors for many students to learn about the various careers in music the goes beyond rapping and singing, while teaching others how music is made.

The ability to create musical art is only a part of the use for the headphones because students will also use headphones to listen to their own genre of music as they work on projects that requires their full intellectual capacity.

Music is a motivation for my students and allowing them to dive into creating many other masterpieces starts with finding the right song to get them going. This also helps to build the self-esteem that they need when working on projects that requires their unique eyes but possess the fundamentals required to master he course.

Printing is another luxury that our students don't have much experience with because of the lack of resources that sustain this action. Having a classroom printers allows my students to visually hold their creation and even place them on the wall for others to admire. . Headphones are great for setting the stage for a performance that most students will experience for the first time and printing their masterpiece will display just how much brilliance our student possess and have buried deep within that will enhance their future and life.
