Ms. Laureano from Cleveland OH is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need to be able to stay cool on the days our class reaches 80-90 degrees! School starts early August which is still very hot out outside. I have pre school and kindergarten students.

My students are in a Montessori school through Cleveland Public schools. My classroom is a multi-age classroom three, four and five year olds. Students will spend up to 3 year in this classroom!
The students are working on individual independent work that allows movement and freedom to select works at their pace.
We spend the majority of our time in the classroom moving around the room. My Pre-school friends also nap in the classroom.
The students are hard workers and deserve a learning environment that allows comfort to continue to be engaged in their lessons.
Students in a Montessori classroom move freely around the room to engage in learning their lessons. With school starting so early in August the heat is still high outdoors and our very old building does not have air conditioning which leads to a very hot classroom. Students become overheated or not able to focus on their lessons, becoming sick, or even heat exhausted. I want to be able to provide a comfortable learning space for my students as well as a safe classroom for students who are too hot or sick from the heat to come in and cool off! With an air conditioner, students are able to focus more on their learning and less on the heat.
