My Project
We all know kids love a drum to beat on! And what better way to engage them in learning beat and rhythm!
Providing a class set of drums will engage all students in rhythm and beat activities.
This will create a community, or drum circle, and give all students the capability to learn simultaneously.
A side benefit is the absolute self-control students develop in holding a drum and listening to directions, awaiting the opportunity to play their drum! The excitement and learning potential is impressive.
I currently have a half-class set, so this project will fulfill my goal to complete that set and offer seating on stools for our drum circle.
