About My Students
Everyone wants to feel that they belong or be apart of something greater than themselves. This also includes my students. With this, sports in schools plays be part in kids achieving this goal. Along with that, is having the appropriate gear for practices and games is a big self esteem booster.
My students come from low-income homes.
They are in desperate need of new uniforms and sweats. The goal I want to achieve with my students is to open their eyes to all possibilities available for them to be successful.
My students need shorts to practice for Cross Country. This will help them focus more on training and being able to compete at higher level. My students go to an urban school where 95% are on free or reduce lunch programs.
My experience has been that students do not always have adequate clothing to practice in and can not afford to buy clothing.
I have noticed that when students are supplied with practice gear that it gives them feeling of being apart of something greater than themselves a sense of school pride. My goal is make sure that I help empower students to achieve to their best abilities in sports as well in life.

Hello,
I am one of the students that participates in Cross Country at my school. We are in need of practice gear for our team. It has been several years since we have got new gear.I feel empowered to do my best at running because i want represent my school to best of my ability.
By helping with this project, it challenges me to accomplish goals and tasks that help my team be better as a whole. Also helps me to become a better leader for my team and school. By brainstorming to help my team be more competitive in running and encouraging my teammates to be leaders at school themselves.
