Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to give my students a gift they can really use. The weather is beginning to change as I write this request. In the mornings, the outside temperatures are dropping into the 30 degrees. How can they keep warm while still being stylish?

My students would benefit from wearing warm black beanie caps and knit gloves when they are outdoors.

My students walk to school, play outside in the schoolyard, and then walk home. During the winter months, these kids will get a lot of wear from these beanie caps and knit gloves. As an added bonus, the gloves are designed with touchscreen fingertips, which allow the students to use their phones and other electronic devices without taking off their gloves.

By giving each of my students a pair of beanie caps and gloves, they will be able to keep their heads toasty and their fingers cozy.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
