My Students

We serve a wide demographically diverse group of students here at our school. My role is to help support these students in addressing their mental health so that they're able to succeed both academically and in life overall.

Our students have faced disquieting and uncertain times which have taken a marked toll on mental health and stretched their ability to cope.

Our students are brave, capable, and have the desire to succeed. Your donation will help them continue to find healthy ways of dealing with the added stressors that have interfered with their ability to focus and thrive academically.

My Project

These bean bag chairs will help to create a safe and comfortable place for our students to work on their mental health, find relief from increasingly challenging stressors, and learn healthy coping strategies for these tenuous times.

These comfy chairs will be placed in our meeting room at the school to be used during mental health support groups and individual therapy sessions.

They will also be utilized as a place to deescalate from tense situations and practice mindfulness techniques. Having a comfortable, welcoming environment is necessary for this kind of work.
