Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to learn, and are eager to achieve this year's learning goals. My students consist of 5-6 year olds that come from low-income neighborhoods. One hundred percent of my children and are on a free-lunch program. 20-25 percent of my class struggle with phonics the first four months. They are the ones who have difficulty keeping up with the rest of the class.

My students are adorable, history-makers, odd-defiers, and college-bound.

They will make a difference in this world, as effective communicators and life-long learners.

My students will succeed and love to learn with available technology which ultimately levels the learning playing field.

My Project

My classroom consists of twenty-four history-makers, college-bound and ready, focused, and adorable Kindergarteners.

I'm requesting an Elementary Calendar Math Center.

Since the beginning of the year I always wanted a morning calendar time where we would focus on the days of the week, the dates, the year, and the time we've spent in school. I have never had one all my three years of teaching Kindergarten and I believe this calendar will help them tremendously.

I'm also asking for two Champion Sports Bean Bag packs. I always borrow bean bags from colleagues and just never had the money to purchase on my own. It is one of those treats that my students love to play, especially catch, since that is a Kinder standard that my students enjoy.
