My students are thoughtful, creative, and love learning. As bilingual learners with English being the second language being learned, coupled with low socioeconomic status learning tools and school materials can be hard to come by. These students are resilient and persevere through life’s difficulties.
My third graders are full of life and are always smiling.
Their inner light shines bright in everything they do. At times they do not have all the necessary tools that would enhance their learning experience and they do their best with what is available.
These boys and girls are hard working dedicated learners who deserve the chance to receive the highest quality of educational experiences so they can fully obtain their highest potential.
My Project
The bean bag seats will enhance student learning by motivating them because of the comfortable colorful setting. Providing this positive environment will make a world of difference in their lives.
The comprehension intervention journals will provide added support and fit nicely into my clasroom balanced literacy motif.
Reading intervention needs to be purposeful and focused. These journals will be fun to use and provoke the necessary practice my bilingual students need.
Classrooms need to be bright and inviting, especially for reluctant struggling readers. Providing this positive experience will develop a lifelong love of reading and powerful memories for my students. The comfort will wash away their inhibitions for reading in English.
