it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The bean bag chairs and pop its would take our reading nook to the next level and let it double as a "calm corner" space in support of students' emotional regulation.. Our young transitional kindergarten (TK) students name their feelings and are at times tired, sad, injured, overwhelmed, unwell, and in need of a brief respite. The bean bag chairs and pop its would provide comforting compression that would help students recover and feel ready to engage with their peers again in activities that foster their personal growth. Our young learners are aware of the stressors that impact their families. It is vital that I help them develop coping strategies and make sensory tools available. Thank you for your consideration.
