My Project

The goal for this project is to teach my students how to follow a pattern, problem solve, and be resilient when things become difficult. Beading allows students to explore how to execute a plan from start to finish. This provides them opportunity to practice measuring, counting, setting a pattern, and using specific techniques to create the end product.

Beading is a non-threatening activity that allows students to be creative and apply critical thinking skills to solve problems when mistakes are made.

I want my students to know they can do hard things and with practice they can become experts who can teach others how to do the same!

My students do not have many opportunities to use their hands to make something and this project allows them the opportunity to do so. They will walk away with items they have personally created and can feel proud of the effort they put into them.

This project was such a HUGE hit in my classroom, students are begging to participate in this activity and we are running short on beads to make new bead patterns. Please help continue this opportunity with my students by donating today!
