Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so excited to honor my students with a library transformation for a third year in a row! They loved it r and I am so ready to do it again, bigger and better. My kiddos asked about "Beach Week" during the 1st week of school in August.
My students have been diligently working through their award winning book lists; Bluebonnets for the 3rd and 4th graders and the 2x2s for the Kindergarteners, 1st, and 2nd graders.
I have promised them something amazing if they meet their goals and I hope this will exceed their expectations. I plan on transforming the library into a beach for the week, just like DonorsChoose helped me to do last couple of years. Some of our floats haven't made it through all the excited students and we need to replenish. Students will be encouraged to dress tropical and bring beach towels. I will use the blue tarp to be the "ocean" and serve snacks while my kiddos relax and read by the water!
