Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in a coastal community where the beach plays a central role in summer activities. However, not all students have access to the basic items needed for a day at the beach. This project aims to provide our students with beach essentials to ensure they can fully participate in summer activities and make the most of their time off from school.
As the summer months approach, we want to ensure that our students have access to the necessary items for a safe and enjoyable time at the beach.
Many of our students come from families facing economic hardships, making it challenging for them to afford beach essentials. By providing these items, we can offer our students the opportunity to create lasting memories and experience the joys of summer in a safe and inclusive environment.
