My Students

I am in my second year rebuilding a once great field hockey team. Years ago this team was a powerhouse for this sport, since then the sport has been forgotten. My girls have been working really hard, to be able to compete. We are falling short as we are not financially fit as a program, to provide the gear and equipment required to play and learn. The girls are ready to fly but need to get the proper wings to take flight.

My Project

With the items that have been selected the program will be able to provide new field hockey athletes equipment to get started. Being able to offset some of the costs that may deter new parents and athletes will help grow our team. We have struggled with numbers, but we are growing. The troubles we have encountered are that parents are not financially fit at the time to purchase so much upfront. Being able to provide shin guards, goggles, that are essential to the sport will help immensely.

Having proper gear makes learning a new sport less scary.

In the sport of field hockey getting hit in your shin happens more than one would like. As the game has evolved having a field hockey ball in the air will happen often. These often scare off new athletes, but little boo boos can be avoided with the items in this cart. We are trying to give confidence to these new amazing athletes, and their parents that field hockey intense but fun.
