Be Green-Using a Green Screen to Achieve, Create & Motivate
Help me give my students a Green Screen Production kit to help make their imagination come alive. Learning to change their background and use technology that will make them successful in this 21st
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach primary grades in a lower income Title 1 school. More than half of our students have families that care about their education, but are unable to have state of the art equipment at home. This project will allow my students the opportunity to grow in a digital classroom. Whether it is acting out a math problem or reviewing the latest book they read, the green screen will provide endless possibilities. The once-essential green screen in news and media is now a fun and realistic addition to any digital classroom. STEM, language arts, history, math, and science are now using green screens as a way to engage students.
The green screen kit will provide my students with greater empowerment, ownership, and purpose to produce digital content for use in our STEAM/ STEM classroom.
