My Project
We are requesting the resources of Lakeshore puzzles as they are an engaging and preferred student activity that they can do together or individually. The moods and emotions book set will help students learn to identify emotions; the emotions coin drop will be a hands-on multi-sensory approach to identifying emotions. The calming cubes will give options for how to regulate, the community helpers are part of our community, we can role-play what emotions we may have while in the community, and sensory tools like fidgets, spinners, and squishies give the students input when they are dis-regulated and the sensory foam will give sensory input through art explorations.
All of these resources will support students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had long-lasting effects on social skills development, practice, and foundational educational skills for all of our students. These resources will give students support in identifying their emotions and self-regulation skills that they can utilize in school and their community.
