My students need printer ink, laminating pouches, and books to read when they cannot take part in PE.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." - Dr. Seuss
I teach Physical Education in a high poverty, inner city, public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they've learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!
Help me help them with childhood obesity!
I want my students to keep learning even when they cannot to take part in Physical Education class. We need some books about sports. Books such as My Soccer Book, Striker Assist and Quarterback Comeback. These books will peak their interest and give them something to do during class. I don't want my students on the sideline with nothing to do. I want to work their minds as well as their bodies. With these books they will still learn the games and have a better knowledge of them. We also need more ink and laminating pouches.
Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school.
With your help we can have our students stay involved with what is going on in the class. They will benefit from reading and gaining knowledge.
Thank you for considering our project!
