Bayou Gator's Laminator Is Broke And It's Not A Joke!

My students need laminated materials to use in the classroom. Most of my students have very limited fine motor skills and without laminating classroom materials they do not last very long.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a group of special needs Junior high students with multiple disabilities and complex communication needs. My student need to be taught life skills that will one day give them more independence as an adult. My student make snacks each week and sell them to the other student in our school to earn money for trips and special treats during the school year. All of my student enjoy making treat signs that tell how much an item is an announces what treat is coming up.

My Project

Laminating materials in our classroom is a must due to the limited fine motor skills of my students. Game pieces, books, folders and other supplies take a lot of time to laminate in the teacher work room and does not get done at times.

Laminating of our daily supplies is a must in our class and takes a lot of time and money to do.

Without lamination the supplies will not last long and will need to be replaced more often. Some parents try very hard but due to financial restraints cannot replace them.

With the help of generous donors I could use a laminator and the Laminating Pouches in the classroom and teach the student to assist with the laminating of their own materials.
