it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in grades 6-8 and come to Room 120 from countries around the world. They love to play games together. Can you imagine being from Honduras and suddenly being classmates with kids from Haiti, Russia and Syria?
I would like to use board games to encourage my students to speak to each other in their new common language, no matter how challenging it is.
Through playing games, they will have the confidence to try connecting in English to their peers and will be introduced to additional language opportunities.
