My Project
This year, my school is participating in "Battle of the Books," a reading incentive program in which teams of students compete against each other by testing their knowledge of books they read.
In Battle of the Books, students develop both a love of reading and teamwork skills.
Over the course of the school year, our team of 3rd-5th grade students will read five culturally and linguistically diverse young adult novels. We will meet weekly to discuss our progress and motivate our scholars for the April competition.
However, we need your help to make this extracurricular activity a reality! Your donation directly supports our students by covering the cost of books for each child as well as snacks for our team meetings.
