Do you remember how exciting it was when you faced a challenge? Well, my students have been challenged to read 13 books and go to a "battle" on these books! Every student participating needs a copy of each of the books.
My students are children who chose to participate in our school's Battle of the Books academic elective.
They are children from all backgrounds who attend a charter school in North Carolina. These students love to read and are so excited to read these books they can't put them down!
My Project
With the challenge of the Battle of the Books, each student needs their own copy of each of the books. Having their own copy of the book helps them to keep up with the assigned reading and will help them prepare for the "battle" that will take place at the end of the semester.
Not all of my students can purchase each of the books.
I would like to have at least 2 classroom copies of the books to lend out to the students who have a need for this. I want every student to be able to have a copy of the books so that they have the same opportunity as the other students.
