My Project
My students want to participate in the Battle of the Books. Our school district offers an elementary level district-wide competition but we did not compete this year. The competition requires students read a specific selection of 15 books and prepare for the "battle" by knowing every little detail for all 15 books. In order to prepare for this challenge, the students need personal copies of each book.
My goal is to acquire enough books to be able to give 8 students their own copy of each book.
They can read them, write in them, and prepare for the competition. This project is the first step. I am asking for 8 of the 15 titles to help us get started. Battle of the Books offers exactly the type of challenge that my students are yearning for!
