My Students
Our school system is focused on our children, our community, and our future. We strive to provide an outstanding curriculum, superb faculty and staff, award-winning programs, dedicated athletic and academic teams, and a vibrant community that supports the school system.
Most of our students come from low-income families.
With that being said, their exposure to technology, other than phones, is very limited. I teach six hours of STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Through my class, I try to give students a head start to being successful adults.
My Project
Robots are right now and in the future. These inexpensive bots will give my students the ability to learn what the parts of a robot are and what they are used for.
These are small battle bots.
With the competitions my students will have the ability to work in teams with a goal, Learning how to make repairs quickly while communicating to their peers effectively.
Most robotics competitions are expensive, with expensive bots. This is a fairly inexpensive way for my students to get involved with building, learning and programing bots.
