My students from a public charter school in Cleveland, Ohio are in grades K-8 and never cease to surprise me with their willingness to explore new ideas and become the best human beings they can be. The majority of my students come from low-income homes and 100% of students qualify for free/reduced lunch.
In the short time I've known them, my student's love and acceptance of all genres and styles of music has blossomed in a way that brings me immense joy as a music educator!
My students have embraced learning music in multiple ways whether singing, dancing, listening, analyzing, or playing, but I believe that with the proper tools, their music education can be boosted, allowing for a diverse music education experience.
Through a DonorsChoose project, my students have received 12 classroom keyboards in order to supplement their performance education.
Each keyboard requires 6 AA batteries to power it.
Neither batteries nor the power supplies were included in the keyboard packages. These batteries will help power those keyboards! With these keyboards, my younger students will experience the power musical play and as students progress, they will be able to compose and perform their own music on the keyboard!
My students are eager to begin this musical journey of performance and play. Please help my students power their music and inspire them to perform!
