My Project
We are one month into the school year, and many of our battery-operated resources have yet to be used. With all that is required to get the school year up and running, from a classroom perspective, I have yet to make the plunge and purchase batteries.
There are so many items in our classroom that require AA and AAA batteries.
My students have been asking to use our Eggspert question-and-answer game, which is a lot of fun. I spent quite a bit of time putting everything together, including the batteries that I thought would work. Imagine my surprise when only 8 of the 18 batteries worked. We are also in need of batteries for our remotes for student presentations, calming toys, board games, and tech devices that are all used daily. You really get to see how much technology surrounds a classroom without having access to much-needed batteries.
This project is also requesting a Teachers pay Teachers gift card to support my students with activities that could be used for reading and math homework. I am also able to use these resources to supplement grade-level material for students in writing as well. The use of these resources will result in more participation from students as they will be provided with resources tailored to their needs.
The math base ten pop will support my learners with adding and subtracting up to 10 by providing a more hands-on approach to their learning. I also want to be able to use these for small-group instruction!
