Bath Bombs for Chemical Change

Help me give my students materials to make bath bombs to show chemical change.

My Students

We are a multicultural classroom. The majority of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We have a large population of migrant students from various places. The largest would be Somali students. For some of our students, this is their first time going to school in America.

Many of our students are trauma-impacted, low-income students.

These students view school as their safe place and a place where they can be themselves.

We have a very supportive community that is built mostly of refugees.

My Project

I just set up a MakerSpace area in my science classroom and I am looking for different materials to have as projects in the MakerSpace area.

Making bath bombs will help show students chemical change.

Bath bombs seem to be the hype right now so this project will get students attention and also help them learn chemical change. We are looking for the ingredients for bath bombs such as; molds, bowls, essential oils to add scent, food coloring and basic ingredients.

We are also looking to work on a ceramic tile project and are in need of the tiles, sharpie markers and clear coat spray paint to seal them.
