My Project

The LCMS band program is requesting your support in acquiring a new Fox bassoon. This instrument represents a vital investment in our students' musical development and overall excellence of our band program.

Currently, our bassoon player is playing on an instrument that is literally falling apart.

It has spent more time in the shop this year than in her hands. Last week at band pictures, she was just holding it and a spring came loose and stabbed her in the finger. This presents significant challenges in their ability to fully explore their musical potential and contribute effectively to the ensemble. However, she is determined to be a great bassoon player.

A new Fox bassoon would provide numerous benefits:

Improved Sound Quality: Fox bassoons are renowned for their rich, resonant tone and exceptional intonation. This would significantly enhance the overall sound of our band, particularly in concert and performance settings.

Enhance Student Performance: A high-quality instrument allows students to develop their skills more effectively. The improved responsiveness and playability of a Fox bassoon will enable our bassoon player(s) to achieve greater technical proficiency and musical expressions.

Increased Student Engagement: When students have access to quality instruments, they are more motivated and engaged in their musical studies. A new bassoon will inspire our student(s) to dedicate themselves to their craft and strive for excellence.

Long-Term Investment: A Fox bassoon is a durable and reliable instrument that will serve our band program for many years to come, benefiting generations of students.
