My Students
My students are all over the place! I mean that in the best way, too. I love to see them learn more about music. They all want to grow in their knowledge of different instruments. They love learning in so many different ways and I want to be able to provide for them various routes to learning music theory and music notation and music performance.
All of my band students work very hard and deserve the best, and that is all I want to be able to do for them.
My Project
Every band needs low brass instruments. Unfortunately, our school has very old instruments that are falling apart. We are in need of a replacement for our aging baritone, which is another name for Euphonium. I have students who are currently learning how to play this instrument, but have to deal with it breaking on a regular basis. When something on it breaks that I am not able to fix on my own, the instrument has to be sent away for repairs. When this happens, the students who play this instrument do not have anything to play in class or practice on at home.
It’s not a matter of having the fanciest instruments, it is really about having instruments that will not require constant repair.
