This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I open the school gym on Saturdays in order to give my students a safe and healthy place to hang. I also give advice, rides, and coaching. During the school week, along with teaching, I coach football, basketball and soccer for the school. We really need basketballs! Always.

No child is left out if they show they want to be there and try.

I also take many students to basketball tournaments so that they can learn the competitiveness that is needed for this game. All in all, I support the cultivation of sports in children, and try to engage them to do something positive.
