Basketball Players

Help me give my students basketballs so they can learn some basketball skills like dribble and ball control. i want them to find joy in learning a new sport while getting healthy and strong.

My Students

I teach Physical Education at a Title 1 school in Ogden. We have no funds to keep up with the damage of balls over the 6 years I have been teaching. I would love to get some basketballs so I could use to teach better ball control and dribbling for our basketball unit. Right now our multi-use balls are old and difficult to dribble with. I want the students to find joy in fitness through a sport they can excel at.

My Project

Children love basketball. Learning the skills to go along with it takes the proper equipment. By having basketballs students will learn the skills needed to enjoy playing basketball. I would love to see students get healthy and active by practicing and learning a new skill. Basketball is a fun way to do that. Dribbling, learning passes and shooting skills will make the learning process better with the proper equipment. I hope to provide that for these elementary students at a title one school. It would be fun to see them active and learning basketball with nice new basketballs. Keep them moving.
