Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Evidence suggests that increasing physical activity and physical fitness may improve academic performance and that time in the school day dedicated to recess, physical education class, and physical activity in the classroom may also facilitate academic performance (Educating the Student Body, 2013) These outdoor items will help get our students more active during their recess time! The Bison Basketball Hoop rims will be mounted to our fences, allowing multiple groups of students to use each hoop.

My goal is to connect to my students interests and help them gain confidence in themelves!

I hope for this project to be completed by May so that our students can benefit from them this year. These hoops will also be used to benefit students for years to come!

The students in my school are active and LOVE to be outside rain or shine! They got especially interested in basketball after a school assembly. Now they are always talking about basketball and wanting to play.
