These students are in 6th grade and go to a Title I school. The entire school receives 100% free lunch, and most of the families come from inner-city backgrounds.
Being a Title I school, funding for materials can be very limited, so I want to be able to provide my team with the best resources to help them reach their full potential.
These students work hard and are extremely motivated. I want them to feel successful in how they are performing.
My Project
I am requesting some brand new basketballs and cones for our boys and girls basketball teams. The current basketballs we have are worn out and barely usable. We share them with the other 900 students who have gym class throughout the year. Having an updated set of basketballs and cones will give our team a fighting chance of winning games if they are practicing with the proper equipment.
I want our basketball teams to feel successful and powerful in what they do.
New materials may boost their confidence, as well help train them better by using more "official" equipment. I want these boys to have the best experience possible! Help support our Gator team!
