My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.
My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them!
Our school is over 60% free or reduced-price lunch recipients, but together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
I see the importance of learning the basics of sports early on.
Youth sports teach so much more than how to dribble.
They teach how to be a part of a team and how to play with others.
This year we are bringing back a K-3 basketball program for our girls and boys. A wonderful group of volunteers have stepped up to coach and help with practices. This project will help us give each player a shirt that they can wear to our practices and also keep after our season is done.
Basketball isn't just about a month of practices and learning. It is setting a foundation to help our students learn the fundamentals and be able to use those as they continue to practice the whole year. It's also about being a team. These t-shirts will let our players know that they are a part of something special!
