My Students

My students are really special to me for many reasons. I have a wonderful group of gifted and talented students that come from diverse backgrounds that make them unique. Being engaged in their own learning is crucial for ensuring their success. For example, I know that they learn best through active and meaningful experiences that they can connect to the real world. Learning by doing is essential for us because it is so highly motivating.

Unfortunately, most of the enriching experiences my students encounter are within the school walls because my students live in high poverty situations.

I strive every day to make school fun and meaningful for my precious students while providing them with a close classroom community in which they feel safe. They deserve the very best!

My Project

This school year is starting back and I have realized that I am missing some classroom basics that my students and myself need. We run all of our critical thinking puzzles on orange paper, and already, we are running low for making copies.

In my gifted and talented classroom, we are constantly cutting poster board and organizing our student portfolios, and the paper cutter and electric hole punch will be a huge help!

In addition to the classroom supplies mentioned above, as well as the pens, Kleenex are always on my list for needing. I always want to make sure that I provide my students with the best possible tissue when they catch the sniffles.
