Basic Supplies to the Rescue in the Library!

Help me give my students basic supplies such as pencils, glue, binders, tape, and scissors that they can get from the library to use for class or on projects.

My Project

Every day, you can come into my library and see students coming in and out. They are there to get books to read, do research, build in the maker area, or work on a class project. This is why the library is the center of our school and where students frequently go to first for help.

As a librarian, I can guide students through the research and provide them with a place to put their projects together, but unfortunately, not all of my students can afford to get the basic supplies needed for their class projects.

When we are having intervention, our students are often given guides to help them on future tasks, the page protectors will help them place these guides in their binders to keep for future use. The stapler will allow the students to staple their papers together when they finish an assignment. The power strip and charging blocks will give my students a place to charge their devices as we are moving 1:1 with iPads this year, and the display stands and figurines will be used to help display books that my students will need to complete projects assigned to them.

Our teachers do a lot of project-based assignments and that means a busy library. It is hard to see kids come in without the materials they need and I don't always have the supplies to give them. This project will also help me provide basic materials such as tape, glue, pencils, binders, and scissors for my students so they can all be successful in the classroom and finish their assigned projects.
