Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an energetic diverse bunch who love to learn and create! We have a huge variety of talents as well as a wide range of reading levels (from K to 4th grade).

They attend a school in which 100% of the students receive a free or reduced-price lunch.

The majority of the students are English Language Learners. Several of the families live in challenging environments. Despite these circumstances, we are a community and do our best for our kids.

Our parents and teachers try our best to provide the best education for our students, but we need a few generous donors to help support us.

My Project

This year we will be starting out with distance learning. I would like my students to have the basic school supplies they need for successful distance learning. I have purchased some items already, and would greatly appreciate any contribution.

Students will be using their white boards and composition books to work out our math problems.

Each morning we will have a math opener and discussion. The white boards and expo markers will help me check for understanding during our Zoom meetings for math and language arts. The tripod will help me record instructional videos for distance learning.
