This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English language learners who are eager to tell their stories. Their best way to communicate without any language barrier is through their art and story telling.

My artists come from all over the world, and all over the city to attend our special school and they deserve a high quality art program to help them tell their stories and grow as artists.

We need basic supplies like paper and crayons to provide these special moments in the art room. White drawing paper and, oil pastels get used up so quickly and need to be replaced, and we just don't have the luxury of an endless supply of funding to do this.
