Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are incredible creatives that make art with standard student grade materials and make it look amazing. We are expanding our reach in creating by trying out additional materials like pastel pencils and semi ink for painting bamboo and cod fish. The students at the moment use water downed acrylic paints as ink which unfortunately dries and looks pale. They use pastels and would benefit from pencils for detail work.
The supplies are intended to help enhance their work and also provide an end product that is what they intended to create rather than a product that fades away because of the quality of the materials.
