This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach mathematics to three different seventh grade classes with 30 students in each class. I am a traveling teacher. My students are challenged to adjust to different settings as I teach each of my classes in two to four different rooms weekly.

My students strive to live like leaders.

My students are motivated to succeed. They take pride in their education and work hard to thrive in my math class. We talk like scholars, write like experts, think like innovators, and live like leaders.

My Project

These supplies will help me be able to teach from home while we are doing blended or full remote learning in the fall. My students deserve to have a teacher who has all the basic supplies needed to be a successful teacher at home. My students will benefit from these resources because I will be able to fully teach them by having all of these basic classroom supplies. The storage cart will hold all of these basic supplies and keep them organized in my house. The folders and labels will help me be able to organize my work. The sharpies, highlighters, pens and pencils will help me be able to write things down and grade from home as I need to plan for blended learning and be prepared with the materials I will need at home.

Basic supplies are the key to success in the math classroom!

My students deserve the best learning environment. The tape, scissors, stapler, staples, glue, and paper clips will allow me to turn my home into a fully supplied classroom with all the supplies I need at home. Blended learning is not easy to adjust to, and having all the basic supplies I need at home will allow me to be the teacher my students deserve. My goal is for my students to be able to have everything needed so that we can succeed together during this hard time as we get use to a new way of learning. During blended learning, i will teach from home and at work so this project will allow me to have the supplies I need at both places to fully teach my math lessons to my classes.
