Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At my school, we serve a very underprivileged group of individuals. These young ladies and gentlemen come from broken homes with little money, and all students receive free lunch. They have very little to look forward to, and that is something that I try to change within the walls of my classroom. I believe that through your help, my room can become a refuge for those students who see education as their way out of this downward spiral. In addition, I want my room to be a place where people who don't like education can eventually start to turn themselves around before they go to high school.
My Project
Tape is one of those things that just keeps getting used in class and sometimes you forget that you need more of it, which is why I am asking for it now before the tape runs out. During this time of year tape can be in short supply as many of the students use it to repair their binders and other items as they are falling apart and don't have the money to buy a new one. The tape is also used for project learning and community events.
Tape is also a necessary tool to make sure that so many of our projects go on and up without a hitch.
