Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We need some basic supplies to kick start a new school year. I am requesting two seat sacks to replace two old worn out seat sacks. I am also requesting laminating pouches to laminate phonics posters and other teacher made materials to ensure they last for years to come. The nameplates I requested will go on the back of each seat sack. The seatsacks store my student's headphones, mice, and computer log in cards.

Musical boomwhackers are a fun way to introduce notes on a musical scale to students.

The boomwhackers are hit as students see the colored notes displayed on our whiteboard. Students also learn how to keep a beat with these fun instruments.

I will purchase science, math, art, writing, and social studies lessons with the gift card to Teacher's Pay Teachers. Our school is focusing on science and writing lessons. I would love to purchase plant, animal, space, states of matter, weather, and seasons activities to supplement these units. The geomentry lessons are short in first grade. I would love to purchase some innovative 2-d and 3-d geometry lessons. My writing lessons often have an art component to make these harder lessons fun for my students. I would purchase easy art lessons to teach students after they edit and publish their written work. Won't you help my first graders? Thank you for your consideration!
