This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help my students start first grade with the supplies they need to succeed! I am requesting ear buds and headphones that my students use daily to complete math and reading lessons on their laptops. Headphones are a necessity to keep the room quiet while students listen to directions to complete online assignments. I am requesting crayons that we use for all subjects including art. When my students color an art project, they will write a few sentences that pertain to their art project.

There are many supplies we need at the beginning of the year.

Desk tags contain number lines and the alphabet to help students complete assignments. I have requested pencil holders that stick to their desktop and provide a handy place for students to store their pencil. The Amazon pencils I requested are a great value and we use pencils daily. Sometimes the pencil eraser is used up which is why I have asked for pencil top erasers.

The craft containers will store their crayons, sharpie pens, and scissors. The Pom Poms will be used for a variety of art projects. When students make bunnies, they use the pom poms for a cute nose and tail. I have also requested animal pens to place in my treasure chest. When students pass a book quiz, they get to pick a prize from the chest.

Throughout the year, I make name labels to put on their personal items and homework folders. The Avery labels help keep our room neat and organized.

The motion bubblers I am requesting help students with sensory needs. The bubblers help students with special needs to stay in their seat so they can focus on schoolwork.
