My Students
At Star Center, we have around 400 students. Many who are open enrolled (around 13%) who choose to come to our school because of it’s wonderful reputation. 46% of the student population is economically disadvantaged, almost 23% of the population are students with disabilities and about 8% of students have limited English proficiency. However, our students are amazing, wonderful and inspiring people, they show huge growth in subject areas. Their hard work and determination has helped Star Center to earn an amazing 5 star rating on the state report card.
My Project
These supplies will help students to engage in flexible seating learning situations and collaborate during partner work while students are not at their desks. We need clipboards to be able to do so. Whiteboards will also come in handy while working with each other and will help cut down on paper waste. We are also looking for this help to get students reliable headphones that will stay at school. We do many different learning activities on computers and many students headphones are broken or are unable to get adequate sound to students while engaged on their Chromebooks. These supplies will help to enhance the amazing student’s learning that occurs at Star Center. Thank you!
