My Students

My students are energetic and eager little learners who come to me each day with a desire to learn. My students are children of military parents and deal with so many more situations than most adults due to the deployment of parents, moving every two to three years, and having to start over again.

They are sponges just waiting to soak up whatever information that they can.

I strive daily to provide them with a safe and inviting learning environment and make learning fun and relevant for them.

My Project

Our classroom is full of energetic and eager to learn 4 year olds. I am constantly buying supplies to create meaningful and engaging activities for our students. We use colored paper daily along with markers and scissors to develop the motor skills necessary to become independent writers and readers. I go to the store daily to buy supplies for our classroom. It's an unfortunate fact of the public education system that the money just doesn't cover the expenses for everything we need.

It is also the season of sick children and we are constantly sending home students.

We have a student with severe medical issues that causes her immune system to be extremely week and getting ill is truly a matter of life and death for her. We are wiping everything down as much as possible but we run out of wipes and I'm either purchasing Clorox wipes myself or asking parents to donate. This project would be a great help in my classroom.
