This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the end of the year is approaching, we are in need of some supplies to accommodate our classroom. The donations may seem random, but they are supplies that I desperately need.

In past donations, I have received three sets of books.

I am in desperate need of a bookshelf to put my 3 sets of novels in. In this order, I added 15 books of Cajas de Carton. The reason is that I only have 35 and starting in January. I will be assigning this book to 48 students to improve fluency and reading comprehension.

As we have done many projects in the classroom, I am in need of a vacuum for my classroom. At times, my classroom's rugs are very dirty and in need of cleaning. There have been occasions, in which my classroom rug has not been cleaned and my students walk into a dirty classroom. I understand we may be short in custodial, and I wouldn't mind vacuuming my classroom. To my students, my classroom is a safe haven and it needs to be clean.

Other supplies I have added are binder paper and mechanical pencils. I find students coming into class without pencils. The pencils I have in my classroom are almost gone. The last thing on my list is a buzzer. At the end of every unit, we play games like Jeopardy. This past unit, we were in need of a buzzer because the game got a little tense.
