This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the honor of teaching the most intelligent, enthusiastic, and knowledge-thirsty students in the world! We are a Title I primary school, but that does not stop my students from working hard. I am a STEAM teacher, so my students are taught to be problem solvers. They enter my classroom each day excited and ready to learn new concepts.
My classroom is a melting pot of cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and ability levels; but all of those differences are left at the door.
When my students enter my classroom, we are a family, and find ways to overcome the differences and help each other succeed. They are a very active and energetic bunch who love to participate in fun, engaging, and hands-on activities.
My Project
I am always looking for new and exciting activities to do in my STEAM classroom! Twenty different classes visit my classroom every two weeks and we go through a LOT of materials and supplies!
Notecards, colorful copy paper, labels and laminating pouches are all basic supplies, but they will not be used in a basic way!
The note cards may be the base for a zip-line activity. The labels may be used as a quick adhesive instead of tape, the laminating pouches can be used as dry erase boards and the colorful paper just might be used to add color to an otherwise plain sketch. Please help me to replenish our basic supplies by helping to fund this project! Thank you so much for your help!
