This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The beginning of the school year is always am exciting time, with a new teacher, new classmates, and best of all, new supplies! But some students aren't fortunate enough to get brand new supplies. This project will allow ALL of my students brand new supplies to start off the school year!

I want my students excited for the new school year, and excited to learn, and having their own brand new supplies adds another element to start the new year strong.

This year, our school budget was slashed considerably, meaning that we are allocated even less for essential supplies for the classroom. The supplies included in this project - pencils, erasers, dry erase markers and snacks. I have asked for some peppermints and other small items as students constantly wanted these while they work. For some, I think this helps them concentrate and calm themselves.
