My Students

My students are growing up in a very rural area, and more than half of them come from low-income families. They are invested in their community yet curious about the world, just as they are pragmatic yet creative thinkers. In addition to the instruction and enrichment I provide through my teaching, I believe my students will thrive with access to more supplies and resources. It is my goal to be able to provide basic supplies for my students whose families are not able to provide them.

My Project

Some students have families who are able to provide them with everything they need to be prepared and ready to learn in school, but others are not so lucky. In my class, I believe it is important to have the basic supplies we use every day readily available for all students to access. This way, all students start out each day with everything they need to learn and participate and no student has to worry about being singled out for unpreparedness beyond their control. Your donation will help me give my students essential English Language Arts classroom supplies, including pencils, paper, and highlighters.
