Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Kindergarten teacher, in a high-poverty school district, in New Jersey. I have 25 excited and eager students in my class this year. Despite the numerous challenges they face, my students love to learn and look forward to coming to school each day. For many of these students, this is the only stable and safe place that they have. I strive to create a peaceful classroom environment, where each student will be able to have fun as they grow and learn.
My Project
We have used a lot of our basic supplies so far this school year and need many things replaced. These supplies keep our classroom running smoothly on a daily basis. Funding in my district is extremely limited at this time and does not provide for even the most basic of supplies. I am in need of crayons, glue sticks, and construction paper.
These materials will allow my students to experience success in all areas as they learn in my classroom.
My project is important because without your help we would not be able to receive these materials that we so desperately need to keep our classroom running as smoothly as possible.
