Basic Supplies for Kinder Babies

My Students

This is my first year teaching in Delaware, and I am super excited to be in Kindergarten! I have 18 children in my class. The mission of my district is to Prepare All Students for Success in the 21st Century. This mission starts here- in my classroom! I look forward to developing strong relationships with my children and providing them with a relevant, authentic learning experience. Kindergarten is such a special time, and I am thrilled to be a part of it!

My Project

This project is so important to us because it provides us with the resources we need to do our best work every day. Entering a new classroom this year I recognize essential items that my students need: pencils, crayons, glue, name plate sleeves, clipboards, and book bins. My students need plastic book bins to stay organized and on task during our reading block. Individual student bins give children a place to store their leveled texts, as well as their interest books. We need clipboards for our “getting to know you” scavenger hunt, read the room activities, collaborative pair tasks, and so forth. The nameplate sleeves I requested allow for quick and easy movement of students from one table to another at the start of each month while still having access to their individualized desk helper.

Children go to Kindergarten once- I aim to make it an enriching, positive, and meaningful experience.
