I have a very energetic class full of 21 2nd graders. They love to learn new skills, expand their knowledge, read new books, and take daily adventures. They are very active and love to be on the move.
Our school is in a small, rural town in Tennessee.
My school currently enrolls just under 1,000 students from PreK to fourth grade. The majority of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of our students come to school to have daily adventures and to expand their knowledge.
My Project
One of the best smells in the world is a new box of crayons. The creativity and opportunities that that little box holds are magical. I use to always believe I could do ANYTHING with a new box of crayons. Many of my students never get to enjoy the smell of a new box of crayons.
I want my students to have the BEST basic supplies possible to work with.
We use crayons, markers, and color pencils daily in my classroom. We color code our math facts, write notes in different colors, and make anchor charts for reading using markers. My students need Crayola crayons, markers, and color pencils to do their best work!
We also have a hard time keeping our colored pencils sharp. We need a pencil sharpener that will be used ONLY for colored pencils. We are also requesting scissors we can use at our centers and Ink Joy gel pens to self-check our work.
